CAMP SoCal Board Responsibilities

 

 

President

  • Lead development and implementation of long-term goals, vision, and plan for CAMP SoCal
  • Exercise general supervision over the affairs and activities of CAMP
  • Carry out the resolutions and directives of the Board
  • Serve as a liaison between CAMP SoCal and CAMP National
  • Convene and preside over regularly scheduled board meetings

Advisor

  • Assist in strategizing chapter direction
  • Utilize breadth of knowledge and contacts to attract  innovative speakers and members
  • Attend as an advisor at least 50% of all board meetings
  • Assist board members with duties and events as available

Treasurer

  • Draft and manage monthly/yearly budget
  • Maintain a weekly balance sheet for report at each meeting
  • Administrate the collection of registration and membership fee
  • Reimburse vendors/members
  • Maintain checking and paypal account
  • Assist in developing fundraising efforts

Events Coordinator

  • Coordinate all aspects of the overall technical and production aspects of CAMP SoCal events
  • Responsible for liaison between venue administrators, CAMP SoCal board members, speakers, and other event committee members prior to and during events to ensure that facilities, equipment, physical setup and personnel provided are seamless
  • Assignments include: coordination and supervision of support personnel and services, assistance with the hosting and support of speakers and sponsors, calculations of all estimates of potential costs incurred in completing an event, and arrangement for venues and catering for functions

Communications/Marketing Coordinator

  • Draft announcements and written collateral for distribution to media, partner and member contacts
  • Take lead on flyers, brochures, pamphlets and other creative and written material, including correspondence, web text and email blasts
  • Maintain relationships with media and community partners before, during and after events
  • Assist board members with other duties related to events and administration
  • Upon the development of media/marketing committee, the communications coordinator will be the lead contact for committee members and will ensure tasks are handled effectively
  • Ensure CAMP SoCal's messaging and vision are communicated clearly, and that events and objectives are aligning with group's overall mission

Community Service Coordinator

  • Coordinate all aspects of CAMP involvement in the local community, both secular and religious
  • Organize events or fundraising opportunities for worthy charitable and community service organizations
  • Assists the other board members where necessary, working closely with the Membership Outreach Coordinator and Treasurer

Fundraising Coordinator

  • Develop chapter's fundraising strategy and approach
  • Lead fundraising efforts for events, special projects, etc.
  • Work with Treasurer and Events Coordinator to determine fundraising needs

Webmaster

  • Design, upload, and maintain web content and chapter website
  • Administer board yahoo group
