
Sabira S. Alloo graduated in May 2003 from The
University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in International Development and
a concentration in French. She currently is completing a double Master's degree
in International Relations and Urban Planning at the University of Southern
California. She has a commitment to social justice issues and public policy
and has worked at a variety of national and international institutions including
the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Council on Foreign
Relations, the American Federation of Labor, and United Nations Children
Education Fund in Tanzania. In addition she is deeply involved in community
affairs, formerly serving as the Coordinator of a Women's Shelter for Domestic
Violence, and presently as Vice President of Human Rights Action and
Administrator of a local Sunday School. As Social Chair of the SoCal Chapter
she looks forward to putting together many exciting and productive events for
Muslim Professionals in the area.
